Top StockTwits Traders
Stock Twits is the Twitter for stocks. These people literally discuss stocks 24/7. If you’re too cheap to pay for stock trading courses you can learn a lot from following certain traders on StockTwits.
Most retail traders follow the most popular traders on StockTwits blindly. Here I attempt to rate some of the most popular traders on Stocktwits by analyzing their Transparency, Accuracy, and Trading Style.
MrInvestorPro
It’s no secret, MrInvestorPro is the drunk trader that demands attention by clouding his follower’s timeline with lengthy posts boasting about his confidence and track record. As with most overly confident traders, he never speaks on his losses. If a trade goes sideways, he goes silent. Personally, I remember him going silent when Acreage Holdings was delisted, after MrInvesterPro praised the stock for weeks.
It’s true, the guy rarely misses. But, it’s also true that MrInvestorPro posts thousands of trades. Recently he has scaled back, it used to be much worse.
To make significant gains from MrInvestorPro’s picks you need to have extreme patience. His swings can take months or even years to return significant profit. Additionally, you have to set your own price targets and stop losses.
Aevitas
Aevitas’ profile is shared by two traders. Once upon a time Luckeee owned the profile alone and did a magnificent job day trading premarket. Most mornings she was done by opening bell or shortly after, with substantial gains of 20–40% or more. Today, the profile is owned by both SuperBloom and Luckeee. They consistently promote their trading courses, touting outrageous gains, but rarely accounting for equally outrageous losses.
If your account is under $25k, following Aevitas may be frustrating. You will learn a lot if you pay attention to their day trading tactics, but you will need to place appropriate stop losses as well.
Luckily they provide the price targets and stop losses when SuperBloom is in a good mood. The account is best for day trading, but they give you swings, options, large, small and micro cap stocks to trade.
